The Mission of Access to Independence is to be
Cortland County’s Gateway to independence through advocacy, support and
education, for solutions to disability issues.

VALUES
A is for Advocacy. We will advocate for you or help
you learn how to advocate for yourself!
C is for Commitment. We’re totally committed to
accessibility for all.
C is for Consumer-based. It’s about the consumers
who come in, how we can help you make your lives better and more
accessible.
E is for Everyone and Everyplace! We want everyone
to have access to every facility in Cortland County.
S is for Service. We are here to serve You, the
residents of Cortland County!

goal of a fully accessible Cortland County!
Our vision is to be the leading agency serving a
diverse community resulting in a fully accessible Cortland County.

In
carrying out its mission, the Center will:
1. Act as a resource for the provision of
information and support services to individuals, groups and
organizations.
2. Provide guidance and advocacy to
individuals with disabilities in all areas that affect their ability
to live independently.
3. Advocate for an all-inclusive, barrier-free society.

Special Events!

Access to
Independence is offering a Work-site Wellness support group and
programs on fitness options & nutrition for people with
disabilities.
We now have a wheelchair accessible scale.
Beginning May 30th
We will meet on
Wednesdays from: 3:30 to 4:45
Healthy refreshments will be provided.
