Independent Living Skills
Training

What is Independent Living?
Essentially, it is living just like everyone else--having opportunities to make decisions that affect one's life, able to pursue activities of one's own choosing--limited only in the same ways that one's non-disabled neighbors are limited.

Training
Training provides participants the basic skills to support independent living goals. Training takes place in a classroom setting or can be individually designed. If you have a disability, we can meet with you and evaluate the skills training that may be of benefit to you.

Peer Counseling

Few understand the needs and challenges of living with disability better than someone who shares that disability.  Peer Counseling shares experiences and strategies for independent living while understanding the dynamics of living with disability.

Peer Mentoring matches an individual with a disability who is looking for employment with a mentor who has been through the process.  Trainings plus a support group help deal with the challenges of job hunting.
